  17. I live next to a small forest,
  18. and before I run this,
  19. there is no particular sound
  20. from that forest,
  21. but when this prog has been running
  22. for some seconds,
  23. its like it activates the forest's birds.

  25. installation

  28. you have to cd the birds directory.
  29. I have that directory in c:
  30. and this lines in my startup sequence:

  32. cd c:birds
  33. run >nil: c:birds/birds
  34. wait 2 sec
  35. cd c:

  37. but you can run it whenever you like.

  40. usage
  41. -----

  43. when you get annoyed by the birds,
  44. or you need to use the amiga sound,
  45. just press/hold escape.
  46.  
  47. and if you don't have any of the included
  48. birds locally around you,
  49. you can replace the samples with others
  50. of right iff type.
  51.  
  52. also, you can limit the samples to fewer,
  53. as long as you have them from 0 and up.
  54. ie: rename bird5 to bird5.stop and you will
  55. have the birds up to 4.
  56. 9 is maximum.
